Beginning Obedience – These one-hour classes are taught at Memory Park between March and October and last six weeks. At the first class you are given a reference booklet with the items covered during each of the six classes. We start with the basics to give handler and/or dog a strong foundation. Over the six weeks we build on these skills. Each week you go home with skills to practice. When you return the following week you add to the skills you have already learned. The goal is to have a well mannered and sociable pet. You may repeat the class a second time at no charge. Policy: Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Instructors: Our instructors are members who have many years of experience training and competing in events. Most have owned several breeds of dogs and are familiar with different temperaments and training techniques.
From time to time the club will coordinate special events such as Rattlesnake aversion training, advanced obedience, AKC judge training taught by non-club members, and more. These will be listed and priced separately.
